Lille Métropole 2020 World Design Capital

Some 600 makers will be hosted by the City of Lille at Gare Saint Sauveur armed with their inventions that have one thing in common : to improve our daily lives !

Through their curiosity, capacity to learn, make mistakes, get back up again and share, makers are citizens who are also agents of their environment, community, city, metropolis, region and beyond.

They have the power to create new solutions and rally the public around tangible projects as they change the world one idea at a time.

After hosting more than 400 events around the world, from New York to Tokyo via Rome, Lisbon, Paris, Singapore and Oslo, the Maker Faire attract passionate crafts men and women who attend to pass on their making know-how, simply but always enthusiastically.

For its fourth event, the Maker Faire Lille is joining the Lille Metropole 2020, World Design Capital movement. Some 600 makers will be hosted by the City of Lille at Gare Saint Sauveur armed with their inventions that have one thing in common : to improve our daily lives ! As if this event wasn’t big enough, the Maker Faire Lille will also feature demo stands, discovery workshops, performances and pitches all inspired by the themes of design, creativity and making.
